Hardwood Boxes with Dovetail corners

These hardwood boxes are made with domestic and exotic hardwoods. All the corners of my boxes are dovetailed and some have inlay dovetails. The tops feature inlays that add interest to the box. The edges of the tops are detailed to add another layer of interest. The feet are detailed, some have feet only on the corners and some have full feet all around the perimeter of the box. The boxes all feature brass hinges that are mortised into the box, a brass decorative chain is attached to top and one side of the box to prevent the top from opening to far. The feet are attached either with small screws or shop made dowels that are glued into place. All my boxes are finished with 4 coats of high gloss water based polyurethane that gives them a beautiful shine and toughness. The boxes can be used for jewelry, as a keepsake box or memory box.
