Cedar Birdfeeder
Welcome to my Cedar Birdfeeder Page. This beautiful birdfeeder is made in the Gazebo style (8 sided). I generally use stain to finish them. I have used a transparent cedar stain, white stain, grey stain and red stain. Without some sort of finish the wood will go grey in a very short period of time.
I start with 1 inch thick cedar decking and machine it into the various parts. I use 4 inch by four inch cedar for some of the parts including the finial which I turn using my lathe. There are over 130 parts in feeder and that does not include the shingles for the roof!!! For the roof I use the same type of shingles that you will find used as siding for a house.
When combined with the matching (similar) planter base and cedar 4×4 it will make quite a statement in any landscape.
Shipping on this feeder is a beast so I usually only sell them locally to southeast Massachusetts. If you are interested in owning one contact me and I will let you know the cost.

This shows the scale of the feeder. As you can see it is quite large and will not get lost in the landscape.
